The Toyota Camry seems to be a popular option for those who are buying a reliable car. Generally, just like many other Toyota vehicles, the Camry has also a great reputation for its reliability and overall features. However, not all Camrys are dependable and there are also models you should avoid.

1. Camrys have the best and most problematic models.

 

All Toyota Camry models are generally decent and dependable, except for the 2007 to 2009 Camrys which are considered maintenance nightmares. These vehicles are plagued with issues, but Toyota has already fixed them in the following years. Moreover, the 2012 - 2014 models are criticized for their loud cabins, a problem that was also fixed in the models that came after. 

 

With the known issues faced by older Camrys, you are better off buying a used model that's manufactured later than in 2014. 

 

2. The Toyota Camry offers a spacious interior 

 

The Toyota Camry has the most comfortable in-cabin interior space in its category. Thanks to its generous interior space, passengers would enjoy more legroom and headroom for added comfort. From the top variant XLE down to the base models, you could see the consistency in space and comfort. 

 

The Camry comes with 524 liters of boot space on its tail with foldable rear seats to accommodate bigger or longer loads. It is not the biggest boot space in its category, but it is competitive.

Other basic safety features of the Camrys include traction control, anti-lock braking system, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), brake assist, vehicle stability assist (VSA), day and night rearview mirror, rear camera, crash detection sensor and more.

 

4. This car is fuel efficient

 

The Camry models are fuel efficient, but the most efficient are the nonhybrid models LE and SE. On average, Camrys burn 6 liters of fuel per 100km of highway driving, or about 1 liter per 16.67 kilometers. For city driving, it slightly burns more fuel at about 8.5 liters per 100km or 1 liter per 11.76 kilometers. Other brands typically have lower mileage. For instance, Honda City runs at 8.5 kilometers per liter for city driving.

 

5. Loaded with features for your convenience

 

The Toyota Camry comes with features designed for your convenience. These features include Smart Entry, power windows in the front and rear, an automatic air conditioning system, air purifier, heater, push start, adjustable seats for the passengers, and height adjustable seat for the driver. Apart from these, there are also convenient features that can make your car safer on the road such as automatic headlights, rear-view camera, auto-off headlight, cruise control and more.

 

It is also worth mentioning that the seats have good lumbar support so even if you are on a long drive, you won't feel much pressure on your back.
