Selena Gomez will not cover her kidney transplant scar anymore.
On Thursday, Sept. 24, Selena—who received a kidney transplant from buddy and Grown-ish actress Francia Raisa in 2017 following complications from lupus—shared an emotional message to Instagram together with a washing go well with photograph that confirmed off her scar.
“After I bought my kidney transplant, I bear in mind it being very tough at first displaying my scar,” Selena wrote. “I did not need it to be in photographs, so I wore issues that will cowl it up. Now, greater than ever, I really feel assured in who I’m and what I went via…and I am pleased with that.”
The actress added that she was pleased with swimwear firm La’Mariette, whose go well with she is sporting within the photograph, for his or her underlying message that “all our bodies are stunning.”
